All operator and service literature encourages the use of 2+4 fuel conditioner, particularly during periods of engine non-use. Gasoline, as purchased at the pump, has a guaranteed shelf life of only three months. 2+4 fuel conditioner extends the useful life of fuel in a number of ways. It contains:
- Metal Deactivators - to eliminate reactions with brass or copper
- Anti-oxidants - to slow the chemical breakdown of gasoline
- Double strength - treats more fuel per ounce
- Corrosion inhibitors - to reduce long term corrosion caused by fuel
- For use in all 2 and 4-cycle engines
- Dryers - to absorb and isolate moisture in the fuel system
- Extends useful shelf life when added to fresh fuels
